Selling directly to consumers


Independent publishers and authors who want to publish their own books can no longer rely solely upon booksellers or other retailers (or libraries) to reach their ultimate consumers. There are too few retailers, too few shelf spaces available, and too much competition for readers’ attention. Going directly to consumers to sell books is something that all publishers today must learn how to do.
